Jata Hotel

Jata Hotel is a three-star hotel on Rruga Agush Gjergjevica, in the Shkozë area on the eastern side of Tirana, where the city begins to climb towards Mount Dajti. It suits travellers who want a calm, green base with parking and mountain air rather than a room in the middle of the city, and guests reward it with an exceptional 9.5 across 408 reviews.

The six rooms measure between 28 and 32 m², all air-conditioned and soundproofed, each with a private bathroom fitted with a bath and shower, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a minibar, a work desk and garden or mountain views. Family and triple configurations are available, and several rooms open onto a balcony or terrace.

Downstairs there is a modern, family-friendly restaurant serving brunch, lunch and dinner, along with a bar, a snack bar and a coffee house. Outside, a sun terrace, garden and patio with outdoor dining make the most of the setting. Free private parking is available nearby and an airport shuttle can be arranged.

The rooms at Jata Hotel

Jata Hotel has six rooms in total, so the property stays small and quiet. They range from 28 to 32 m² and share the same specification: air conditioning, soundproofing, a private entrance, hardwood or parquet floors, a work desk and a minibar, plus a flat-screen TV with cable channels and streaming services.

Every room has its own bathroom with a bath and a shower, a bidet, a hairdryer, slippers and free toiletries, and looks out over the garden or the mountains. What changes from one to the next is size and sleeping arrangement: two 32 m² rooms sleep up to three guests, while four king rooms of 28 m² are set up for couples.

Deluxe Double Room — Jata Hotel
Deluxe Double Room
32 m² · Private bathroom · Max 3 guests

  • 1 Extra-large double bed (Super-king size)
  • Max 3 guests
  • Private entrance, minibar, soundproofing
The largest category alongside the triple, this 32 m² double gives a couple plenty of space and can take a third guest. The bathroom is unusually well equipped for the price, with both a bath and a shower plus a bidet, hairdryer and slippers, and the room has its own private entrance and garden views.

Facilities and amenities

For a six-room property, Jata Hotel packs in a lot. Evening entertainment is laid on, and room service brings it all upstairs.

Location and what to see

Getting there

Jata Hotel stands on Rruga Agush Gjergjevica, in the Shkozë neighbourhood of Administrative Unit No. 1, on the eastern edge of Tirana where the city starts to climb towards Mount Dajti. Tirana International Airport Nënë Tereza is roughly 19 km to the north-west, normally 25 to 40 minutes by car depending on traffic. The hotel can arrange an airport shuttle for a surcharge and car hire is available on site. If you prefer to travel independently, the airport bus runs around the clock to Skanderbeg Square roughly every hour for about 400 lek, and from the square a taxi or ride-hailing app covers the last few kilometres east in ten to fifteen minutes. Free private parking is available at a location nearby, but it has to be reserved in advance, so tell the property your arrival time. Note too that the upper floors are reached by stairs only and payment on site is in cash.

What to see

The setting pays off if you are heading up the mountain. Bunk'Art 1, the enormous Cold War bunker converted into a history and art museum, is about 2.6 km away, and Dajti National Park begins roughly 2.8 km from the door. The Dajti Ekspres cable car climbs the ridge in around fifteen minutes and normally runs from 09:00 every day except Tuesday, so aim for a morning ride; city bus 11 links the centre with the lower station. Central Tirana lies about 3.9 km west, and the classic circuit is easy on foot: Skanderbeg Square with its Clock Tower, Et'hem Bey Mosque and the National History Museum, then the renovated Pyramid of Tirana, the National Gallery of Arts and the Ottoman Tanners' Bridge. April to June and September to early October are the most comfortable months; July and August turn hot, and nightlife concentrates in Blloku rather than out here, which is precisely why many guests pick this side of town.
